Once and a while you meet a couple with the most beautiful and almost movie-like of love stories. When you meet a couple like that, you are swept into their world, their love story, their adventures and their families. It is then when you understand how it is that they love so joyfully, so strongly, and so generously to each other and to all of those around them. It is an honor to celebrate along side a couple that marks each one of their life moments with great spirit and fun.
meet Angie…my fun, funny, sweet, bubbly and oh-so-stunning bride
and meet Jeramie, her handsome, kind and generous groom
Angie and Jeramie were married on a amazingly beautiful Wisconsin summer day at Milford Hills Hunt Club, a venue so fitting of both of their personalities. Angie, a born and raised Wisconsin girl could not imagine getting married anywhere but in Wisconsin. Jeramie, a rugged, athletic, pole climbing (yeah, I didn’t know what the heck that meant at first either) fellow from the Pacific Northwest, deserved a venue that reflected his passion for the outdoors and all things hunting.
Where you go, I will go. Where you stay, I will stay. Your people, will be my people.
Your God, will be my God.
Every couple is is a joy to work with , but the fun we had planning this wedding was ongoing, even with these two lovebirds being so darn busy in their home state of Oregon and only coming to Wisconsin for ONE planning meeting, we made it all come together thru Skype, calls, text, even Facebook (and a lot of trust) to plan their perfect day. Angie told me she wanted a summer wedding full of hot colors that matched her playful personality. Her wish was for a venue that reflected Jeramie’s interests. They wanted their guests to come to a wedding and know this is Angie and Jeramie’s love story and it is SO them…a wedding so fitting of her and a wedding so fitting of him…so let’s enjoy the details!
When we first walked through the doors of the Milford Hills Hunt Club, we were thrilled by lacquered knotty wood, antler chandeliers and one of the best looking trophy collections ever. Jeramie was in love all over again! He looked at Angie and told us that he never thought a wedding day could be about him and his style too.
A lot of Angie and Jeramie’s wedding day was a surprise to them. We had our meeting with the fabulous florist. We ate delicious cake and knew we had to have a carrot cake groom’s cake. We had Pinterest and we talked alot, but because of distance, it still was a surprise. A particular joy of mine as a planner is to surprise my couples with their head table, it is wonderful when I can to pick out chairs, linens, and whatever else to make it special and uniquely theirs on their wedding day. Sometimes there is even little presents hidden in there!
Oh and did I mention there were antlers? There were antlers everywhere!!!
Angie folks… her mom, Lucy, is there on the right… always a hoot and an absolute joy, Lucy brought cheer to every phone call, “Haallo, JenNee. It’s Looocy Gunderson” She was always quick to tell me, “You just tell me what you need and we will get it from Don”. Sassy and fun, she cracks a joke as fast and as sharp as a whip leaving crowds rolling with laughter. However, it is her heart that shines the most, as she is sure to make everyone feels like they are and always have been, part of her family.
Oh, Angie’s daddy, boy did he ever love his girl. A seemingly tough-guy my son Thad refers to as “The DON,” this man is all mushy marshmallow inside. Angie and Jeramie’s wedding video (by the wonderful Champagne Studio’s) begins with his wonderful Father of the Bride toast. Enjoy… don’t forget to grab your tissue, it’s that good.

It was a great day, from the deeply spiritual wedding ceremony officiated by Angie’s brother in law Chris, and the heartfelt and tearful toasts (and in memoriam to the little bird that flew into the window during Mindy’s toast and brought lightness and giggles to a moment of sweetness and thoughtfulness that had us all holding our breath… and don’t worry, somebody said it’s good luck in Japan), to a bride and groom so thrilled to celebrate with all of the family and friends who traveled from near and far to be with them, it was a beautiful day. It was a day of laughter, with a wedding party that was kind and funny and supportive… maybe sometimes a touch of naughty( but isn’t that part of the fun), it was an entertaining day. It was a day full of smiles, with a romantic first dance, a leaping garter belt catch, and some tiny cowboy hats, it was a FUN day
So to Angie and Jeramie, congratulations on your new life and on your new baby that will be here soon, she will have a wonderful mommy and daddy. I am so honored to have planned your wedding. Each moment of working with you; creating a day that was all about the both of you, as individuals and together; was delightful.
