For those of you who know me well, you know that I am secretly obsessed with pink.  I LOVE pink… I don’t wear it often, I don’t have in my own home and decor, but most often when I am given the opportunity to design with my hearts desire, I turn to pink. This spring when the Wedding Planner & Guide {you know them… they are the handy dandy wedding planning guide and wedding show sponsor that nearly every bride and groom in southern Wisconsin turns to for referrals to great Wisconsin wedding vendors} asked me if I wanted to create an inspiration wedding-scape for the 2015 guide book AND I could pick my own team, I was all over it and it was going to be PINK!  So with the knowledge I could do whatever I wanted I set out with a mission to create a wedding inspiration of pink and black, romantic, vintage with a modern twist, and all around a charming and romantic pink Wisconsin dream wedding!  The next step was to call upon some of my favorite wedding vendors from the Madison area : Photography, the amazing Tim Fitch; for floral, the sweet and romantic flair of Amanda from Alluring Blooms; for ruffled buttercream brilliance, Craig’s Cake Shop; wedding stationary, Paper Piper {and Missy was a dream as she totally understood my pink-vintage-romance-antler-obsessed-day-in-the-park style that I was trying to communicate) and of course brilliant rental items from both Event Essentials and Ala Crate Vintage Rentals. Thank you to each one of you who partnered with me on this wonderful afternoon.

So again…HUGE THANKS to those of you who contributed to making this shoot so special.  If you are wondering, all of this went down at the beautiful Agora Pavillion in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. The bottles of Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut {the little ones are called splits} can be picked up at your local World Market, and you can write on them with a gold sharpie! Those beautiful peachy vintage chairs… those are Amanda’s.  The plates came from my china hutch and the cake table came off the back porch, but you can rent similar items from Ala Crate Vintage Rentals. The fabulous cut crystal champagne coupes came from them too, and all the gorgeous linens & black chiavari chairs are available for rent at Event Essentials.

cheers!

Hi!

Welcome to the LHE blog and my place to tell my couples' love stories and share random thoughts. A bit about me...I love weddings. I love my clients. I love comfy shoes and jeans. I am obsessed with EOS lipbalm. I talk too much about my kid. I drink way too much coffee. Often my clients and I become great friends, and mostly...I am so excited that you stopped by.

My absolute joy in being a wedding planner comes from celebrating with you during your most important moments.

So let's have some coffee & chat!
